One block is worth as much as two rebounds or four points. A turnover wipes out an assist. Shooting percentages and threes don't count at all.
Elite last season: about 45 a game. A starter-quality guy: 33 to 38. Replacement level off waivers: about 30.
You can't swap mid-week. Whoever is in your 10 slots on Monday plays the whole week.
Both are worth 4. A big who gets 2 blocks starts every night with 8 points before he scores. Sort the Players tab by STL or BLK when you're stuck between two guys.
Fantrax drafters already know this: High Point, VMI and Cal Poly guys go in the top 30. They play 35 minutes, take every shot and see weak defenses. Big-school freshmen go late because they split minutes on deep rosters.
Last year's 12th best guard or big averaged about 40. By pick 96 it's around 31. And 80 players who averaged 30+ aren't on anyone's ADP list (green SLEEPER tag). Spend rounds 1 to 8 on the top tier and don't sweat the back end.
Lineups lock weekly, so a 30-a-game guy with 2 games (60) beats a 40-a-game guy with 1 game (40). Check the "Wk" column every Sunday night and start your 2 and 3 game guys.
A mid-major star landing at a big school usually loses usage and faces better defense. Knock 10 to 15% off last year's number. Blue TRANSFER tag plus "expect a dip" in the note flags these.
Guards and F/C are about even through 48 players, but by 96 the F/C pool drops a point and a half lower. If it's a coin flip, take the rebounder and shot blocker.
Every turnover is -2. A sloppy high-usage guard can hand back 6 to 8 points a game. The TO column shows it.
Bench guys score nothing. Fill it with next week's 2 and 3 game players and anyone hurt, then churn. No move limits and free agents are first come, first served.
"PO G" counts scheduled games in weeks 16 to 18. Conference tournaments aren't on schedules yet, so small-conference teams will pick up games in the final week.
Queue your next 5 targets in Fantrax before your turn. Keep this page open on the Players tab with "Hide drafted" on and it updates as players go.
6 of 12 make it. Max your lineup every week, even in a blowout, because total points break ties.
ADP is live from Fantrax college drafts. FP/G is last season's per-game average rebuilt in this league's scoring (within about a point of Fantrax's own number). "Val" compares a player's FP/G rank to his ADP rank.
